Scrapbooking

So my sister in law got me some starting things for scrap booking and card making and I haven't done much scrap booking, but I have made some cards which I love doing. I'm not that good at it but its keeping me entertained while I roam the house for things to do these hot days! I am making the "Thank You" cards for my baby shower and then July is a busy month for birthdays and anniversaries for our family so I have been making those too. I will hopefully get all my pictures printed and get started on scrap booking back to when Nate and I were dating and go from there! Wish me Luck!

(here are some pictures of the cards I have made, remember I just started so there not that good)

Thanks Erica...I've really enjoyed my gift!

Fun In The Sun!

The Boys came over to hang out for a bit so we hooked up this water toy that Uncle Nate got em' and the big sprinkler so they could have some fun in the sun!! Here are some pictures of Zach, Scott, and Connor!
Showing off their muscles and new tattoos!

You put the balls in the yellow part and they roll down to the bottom and shoot out the top with the water!

The Ball just hit Zach in the head :)

Looks cold Scotty!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I found this recipe on line today and decided to try it! I think it turned out really good! I love chewy oatmeal cookies and then the chocolate chips just make the final touch! Hope you can find some time to try em'!

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup of white sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

3 cups quick cooking oats

1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

cream together- butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth

beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla

In separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, and salt, then stir in cream mixture until just blended

Mix in oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 minutes ( I had some sticking so 2ND batch I sprayed a little Pam and it worked better)

Let cool for 5 minutes

Happy 4th of July

4th of July 2009
Nate and I went out to his Mom's house in the afternoon for some lunch and hung out with the family there. Then we went to my Mom's house for some dinner and relaxed until around 9....drove down to the highschool camped out and watched the fireworks! It was a nice very relaxing day together! We just couldn't stop thinking about how next year our little girl will be here to celebrate with us! CRAZY!!!
Happy 4th of July to everyone hope you had a great one!
