In April the studio that I taught for before and while I was pregnant with Zoie had our recital and I took some of the classes to get back into the groove of things! It was awesome I never realized how much I miss performing and just taking classes. I love the feeling of working so hard and coming home and feeling sore, sweaty, exhausted, bruised knees, jammed toes and so much more! HaHa...Im sure it sounds funny but those feelings feel like accomplishment to me! Coming home with all that to my husband and baby girl tops it all off!
I love the studio owner/teacher she has such great ideas and is so thoughtful and understanding to those of us the just had babies! HaHa (she is actually due with her baby boy in July, wouldn't know it though she just blows through everything like shes 18 years old again....totally my motivation for the next pregnancy)
We had our recital at the convention center which was basically packed full! It was an awesome crowd to perform for!
Thriller was our big hit dance (I'm in the black with the red Tu-Tu underneath and gold top)
The hair and make-up was done by my Momma and man brushing it out two nights in a row was not fun...I'm so grateful for my hubby and helping me! ;)
Satellite Heart is our Modern dance (its the blue costumes)
Your House is our Lyrical dance (White shirts with black shorts)
Getting ready to go to recital
We then went to Lagoon for Competition a few weeks later. We took 1st place in "Your House" and 1st place High Gold in Thriller! High Gold basically means we exceeded the expectations of 1st place! I want to thank my husband for all his help this day! He took care of ZZ, me, took pictures, got someone to film, and kept all of our stuff together! Hes amazing! Zoie was also such a trooper she didn't cry once the whole day I think she really enjoyed being out and spending the day with Daddy and Mommas friends who all ooo and aww over her! She loves the attention! HaHa (oh and you think she would be scared of me and the other girls while in Thriller costume....NOPE she laughed and smiled, she loved it!
Felt so great to be back in that atmosphere! Nate said he even enjoyed it because he now can see what my past was like going to competitions! (so sweet) Now for the summer! Lots of vacations filled with summer classes, parades, and community performances!

Hey - your cousin Celeste was in my class but then she dropped! Bummer. She was a cutie. Almost made me feel like I was home again because she knew the same people I knew.
