Yard Work

I keep having people tell me that I must be in that nesting stage of being pregnant because I want so many things done around the house and my husband is only one man. Well I know that, but the things that I would like to do I can't really do by myself any more, and I have this great husband who is worried about me over doing it and lifting things I shouldn't. I came from a family where it was my mom, and my sister for a long time. 3 girls on there own, we learned to do things by ourselves and move things that most women wouldn't think of doing. So I have tried to stay busy doing little things like CLEAN! but you can only clean your house so many times a week. Since the weather has been so nice this week I have been trying to stay out side and get things ready for the BBQ and just so we have a nice yard! Here are some of the the things I have been working on. I got some flowers for our pots and wishing well, and lined up the bricks for Nate to put in the ground for our flower bed. (something he wasn't very happy with me lifting haha, I do love that he worries though)

We started really early on getting our grass looking good this year and I'm feeling pretty dang proud of it, considering our old man neighbor pays to have his done and ours looks way better!!! HAHA! Look at the difference from last year!
Nate has pruned the trees and the big hole in the middle of the yard that use to be a mud puddle is now thick nice grass. The plant in the grass is going in this barrel I just haven't planted it yet
and the last thing is our fence, our dumb blonde dogs chewed the crud out of the gate part so we replaced the boards and then I stained them today. Looks way better wish I would have had a before picture with it all chewed up. The boards don't match exactly but its okay still looks good.
Well that's about it for now. We will have a huge slide show of our back yard by next week hopefully of all the stuff Nate has done. Its amazing!!

Your yard looks awesome, I don't think the pictures do it justice, it looks even greener in person. I wish I had your energy, I remember the fun days of planting flowers and doing yard work. It all looks great! I loved reading and seeing Nate's art work too...awesome.
